it's okay to be kay

This was written by a little 6 year old girl. I babysit her and her two sisters - Rebecca and Mia, and before they go to bed they all sit down and write little prayers to God.
This was the one that Hollie wrote last time, and it absolutely broke my heart. I mean, she’s six years old and she thinks she’s not beautiful. That’s not right. But she is beautiful, absolutely gorgeous. She’s got golden blonde hair, bright green eyes and a smile so beautiful that you melt a little inside when you see it.
When their mum got home, I showed her Hollie’s prayer, and she was devestated. She’s a nurse so she’s seen a lot of horrible things, but I have never seen her like that. And so I had to do something.
If you’re reading this, and if you have the slightest bit of a heart, please reblog this, so that I can prove to Hollie that she is beautiful, and that she is so special, and that God made her exactly the way she is because He knows that He made her perfect. Please give this beautiful little girl the confidence she deserves.

On March 13, 1995, in the small Scottish town of Dunblane, a forty-three-year-old man, Thomas Hamilton walked into a primary school with four handguns and opened fire, methodically killing sixteen children and one adult teacher before killing himself. The unprecedented massacre of children led, within two years, to legislation that imposed a total ban on the private ownership of handguns in the United Kingdom. Today, no one in the United Kingdom can privately own a handgun or a semiautomatic weapon. There was not much hand wringing or heated debate over this legislation. It was discussed, and enacted, with overwhelming public support, in response to the mood of national shame and grief over the killings.
So, this is what I’m doing right now. Having fun playing with Chrome on my iPad and iPhone. Finally!!!
(You can see what dominates my life right now by looking at those tabs. Let’s see: Disney, and Disney, and oh, a Disney fashion tumblr, my regular tumblr, and a little anime thrown in for fun.)
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom
Hey, so I went and played a new game over at MK today called Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. I played it once already on my birthday last week, and have absolutely fallen in love with it. If you’ve ever played the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure at Epcot, then you’ll see a similar idea being used here.
The basic premise is that Hades (from Hercules) is trying to take over the Magic Kingdom and is getting some of our favorite Disney villains to help him achieve his goal. He needs a magic crystal to have ultimate power, and so as sorcerers our mission is to stop his villainous colleagues from assembling it.
You receive an activation key, a map, and five spell cards to battle evil. Merlin is our guide, and he instructs us on how to use our spell cards to defeat the villains. There are four lands where you play: Adventureland, Frontierland/Liberty Square, Main Street, USA, and Fantasyland. You battle one villain at a time in a particular land by going to the different portals shown on the provided map. Once your adventure is complete, you can end there or they give you the option to continue on and battle another villain. After you’ve bested all of Hades’ cohorts, you battle Hades himself for the glory of becoming Master Sorcerer of the Magic Kingdom.
Best of all, you get to keep everything. They’ll be coming out with a card game that uses the spell cards you play with in the park. There are a total of 70 cards, so I’ll be working on collecting them all! I’ll post some pictures of my cards and the game portals as well.
Sorry For The Lame-ness
So I just took a look at my tumblr, and I was a bit underwhelmed. My last post was from November, and about school. Uck. It’s too late at the moment (and my iPad battery is down to 3%) so no substantial post tonight, but now that I have lots of free time I’m really going to do the tumblr thing. I mean it this time.
